THE BIOLOGY OF PLANTS “Vol. 1” (ALBUM LAUNCH)
The Biology of Plants (TBoP) deliver a range of melodic bangers, infused by jazz, classical and electronic artistry. Featuring Helen Svoboda (bass/occasional vox), Joshua Rivory (synth), Simon Svoboda (cello) and Charles Hill (drums), the compositions are solely inspired by nature, simulating a live film score amidst a state of spacial ambience. “Vol. 1” is the long awaited debut release from TBoP. Love the plants.
GEORGE CAULDRON “If We Ever Play Again” (ALBUM LAUNCH)
Originally based in Brisbane but now including a lineup of musicians from across Australia, George Cauldron is a trio who explore elements of jazz, experimental composition, and free improvisation. The group’s upcoming release marks a return to more conventional song structure after the cacophonous improvisation and minimalist composition of their 2015 debut “Cauldron”. Featuring the long standing lineup of Andrew Saragossi (Reeds), Sam Maguire (Bass), and Tom Robb (Drums), “If We Ever Play Again” comprises six new compositions from Saragossi and Maguire.
This performance will feature one set from each group as well as music from GCR DJ’s.
